About us

Illumnia is a company founded by professors of the University of Vigo with the mission of transferring to society the research carried out in the optics lab at Ourense Campus. The main goal is to provide innovation through sustainable, viable and integrating projects in the field of efficient lighting and photonic technologies.

All this is part of the EU 2020 strategy for EU growth for the next decade, as illustrated by the EU's "Lighting the Cities" report dated June 2013 and exclusively dedicated to the implementation of LED lighting systems in Europe.
